Who we are
RegGo is a product operated by Clearpoint Systems LTD.
You can contact us about privacy or data requests at info@reggo.co.uk.
What RegGo does
RegGo provides used-car buyer decision reports. Reports help buyers understand visible MOT, mileage, model-specific and seller-evidence questions before travelling, viewing, paying a deposit or buying.
To provide this service, we may process vehicle information, report inputs, payment records, support information and report output data.
Information we collect
Depending on how you use RegGo, we may collect and process:
- vehicle registration marks, also known as VRMs or number plates;
- vehicle details such as make, model, year, fuel type, mileage and asking price;
- seller type, seller name or dealer name if you provide it;
- free check submissions and paid report submissions;
- MOT-style records, advisories, failures, mileage entries and source notes used to generate a report;
- derived report outputs, such as risk signals, report sections, proof requests, seller questions and comparison rankings;
- email address and contact details you provide for report delivery, support, refund requests or data requests;
- payment status, product purchased, order references and Stripe payment references;
- support messages, feedback, refund requests and data-rights requests;
- technical logs, audit logs, error logs and security records needed to operate and protect the service.
Vehicle registrations
We treat vehicle registration marks as potentially personal data because they may be linked to a person in some circumstances.
We use registration information to find or match vehicle records, generate reports, support paid orders, handle disputes and investigate technical issues. Where practical, we use controls such as minimisation, hashing, encryption or restricted access to reduce unnecessary exposure.
A vehicle registration alone is not enough for us to disclose report or submission data to someone making a request.
Why we use your information
We use information for the following purposes:
- to run free checks and paid reports;
- to match vehicle information and source data;
- to generate buyer-facing report sections, seller questions and comparison rankings;
- to process payments and refunds through Stripe;
- to deliver report links, PDFs, emails or other report access methods;
- to provide support and recover report access;
- to handle complaints, refunds, chargebacks and disputes;
- to respond to data requests;
- to maintain audit logs and protect the service from misuse;
- to improve report quality, reliability and user experience using minimised or anonymised information where practical.
Payments
Paid reports are processed through Stripe. Stripe handles payment details on our behalf. We do not store your full card details.
We may store payment-related information such as product purchased, order status, Stripe reference, payment status, refund status and report delivery status.
Stripe may process your information according to its own privacy terms when you use Stripe checkout or payment services.
Email and support
If you contact us or provide an email address, we may use it to send report access information, payment-related messages, support replies, refund updates, data-request replies or important service messages.
We do not use your email address to sell personal data. If we introduce marketing emails in future, we will provide any required unsubscribe or consent controls.
Service providers
We use trusted third-party providers to operate RegGo. These may include hosting, database, storage, payment, email, logging, analytics, security and support providers.
These providers only receive the information needed to provide their services. We do not sell personal data.
Analytics and cookies
RegGo may use privacy-conscious analytics to understand whether the site is being used and where people stop during a free check, checkout or report access flow. This helps us improve reliability and the buyer experience.
When analytics are enabled, we use PostHog (EU hosting) with event names and coarse properties only. We do not send raw vehicle registrations, email addresses, report contents, invite tokens, checkout session IDs or full report URLs to analytics.
RegGo does not use advertising cookies, behavioural tracking cookies or retargeting pixels.
Essential cookies or similar technologies may be used to run the website, process payments, protect the service and support report delivery. For more detail, read our Cookies page.
How long we keep information
We keep information only for as long as needed for report delivery, support, refund handling, accounting, legal obligations, audit trails, security, dispute handling, report reproducibility and product improvement.
Where information is no longer needed, we may delete, anonymise or minimise it.
If you ask us to delete data, we will do so where appropriate. Some limited records may need to be kept for accounting, tax, fraud prevention, security, legal, audit or dispute-handling reasons.
Report links and privacy
Paid reports and report PDFs may contain vehicle-specific information, report details and buyer-facing analysis. You should treat report links as private and only share them with people you trust, such as a seller, mechanic, adviser or someone helping with your buying decision.
Customer report pages are not intended to be public marketing pages.
Your rights
Depending on the circumstances, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict or object to certain uses of your personal data.
You can make a request by emailing info@reggo.co.uk or by following the instructions on our Data Requests page.
To help us find the right record, include the email used, report link, report reference, Stripe payment reference, approximate submission date or vehicle details where relevant. We will not disclose report data based on VRM alone.
Security
We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect information handled by RegGo. These may include restricted admin access, audit logs, secure hosting, encryption or hashing where appropriate, and limited access to sensitive records.
No online service can guarantee absolute security, but we aim to minimise the data we keep and limit access to what is needed to operate the service.
Children
RegGo is intended for people old enough to make or help with a used-car buying decision. It is not aimed at children.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy as RegGo changes, as providers change, or as legal requirements change. The latest version will be published on this page.

If you are unhappy with how we handle your information, contact us first at info@reggo.co.uk so we can try to resolve it.
If you are in the UK and still have concerns, you may have the right to contact the Information Commissioner’s Office.
