Core report disclaimer
RegGo reports are informational. They do not replace a mechanical inspection, finance advice, legal advice or your own judgement. They help you understand visible risk signals and prepare better questions before viewing or buying.
RegGo is a buyer decision support tool
RegGo is designed to help used-car buyers decide what to ask, what proof to request, which car to prioritise, whether to negotiate, and when to pause before travelling or buying.
A report is not a pass/fail certificate, approval, guarantee or instruction to buy or avoid a vehicle.
Not a mechanical inspection
RegGo does not inspect vehicles in person. We do not physically check the engine, gearbox, clutch, brakes, tyres, suspension, bodywork, electronics, service history, underbody or interior condition.
Before buying a used car, you should consider your own inspection, a test drive where appropriate, review of documents, and an independent mechanical inspection if the risk or purchase price justifies it.
Not a vehicle history or finance check
RegGo is not an HPI-style vehicle history check. Unless a page explicitly says otherwise, RegGo does not check outstanding finance, write-off status, stolen status, keeper history, import/export status, plate changes, insurance loss records or legal title.
If those checks matter to your buying decision, you should use an appropriate vehicle history service before buying.
MOT data has limits
MOT history can highlight useful patterns, but it cannot prove current mechanical condition. A recent MOT pass only confirms that the vehicle met the minimum roadworthiness standard on the test date. It does not prove the car is problem-free now.
An MOT advisory, failure or repeated note does not always mean a car should be avoided. It means the issue should be understood, checked and supported by evidence before you rely on the seller's claims.
MOT data may also be delayed, incomplete, unavailable, incorrectly entered or later updated by the relevant source.
Possible cost information
Where RegGo shows possible cost exposure, cost categories or ranges to clarify, these are intended to help you ask better questions. They are not repair quotes, diagnoses, valuation advice or guaranteed future costs.
Actual costs can vary significantly depending on the vehicle, region, parts, labour rates, fault cause, repair quality, garage choice and what is found after inspection.
You should not rely on a RegGo cost range as a substitute for a mechanic's diagnosis or written garage quote.
Seller evidence can change the picture
RegGo reports are based on the information available when the report is generated. New information from the seller, such as invoices, service history, diagnostic reports, recall confirmation, photos or inspection results, can change how you view the car.
Seller answers should be checked carefully. A verbal reassurance is weaker than written evidence, invoices, service records or inspection findings.
Comparison reports
Multi-Car Comparison reports rank cars based on available evidence such as MOT history, mileage context, model-specific checks where available, asking price context and proof burden.
The ranking is a guide, not a guarantee. A lower-ranked car may become more attractive if the seller provides stronger evidence. A higher-ranked car may become less attractive if the seller cannot support the key claims.
No accusation against sellers or dealers
RegGo reports should not be treated as proof that a seller, dealer, previous owner or garage has acted dishonestly.
The report is designed to help buyers ask fair, practical questions and request evidence. It should not be used to make unsupported public accusations.
Your final decision
You remain responsible for your own buying decision, including whether to travel, view, negotiate, pay a deposit, arrange an inspection or buy the vehicle.
If you are unsure, you should pause, request more evidence, speak to a mechanic or use another appropriate professional service before committing money.
Questions
If you have a question about how to read a report, contact info@reggo.co.uk. Support can explain report wording, but cannot decide whether you should buy a car.
